Consultation and Supervision

EMDR Consultation

Dr. Arielle Schwartz Consultation and supervision

Consulting and supporting clinicians who are training or trained in EMDR is a passion of mine. I strongly believe in the ability for EMDR to make a difference in the lives of clients who have experienced traumatic histories and love supporting other therapists in this work. I am an EMDR approved consultant through Evergreen Certifications. I provide group consultation and am specialized in the integration of EMDR with somatic approaches and parts work therapies for trauma and complex PTSD.

I would also like to inform you about my choice to partner with PESI, which resulted in being asked to let go of my consultant status and certification with EMDRIA. This decision was one that I reflected upon for over a year before deciding that this was the right action for me. I am aware that historically PESI trainings were not aligned with the standard of care that has been established by EMDRIA. When given an opportunity to teach EMDR for PESI, I helped to up-level the training to be on par with the trainings that I have received and been part of assisting as a consultant. I feel secure in the knowledge that I worked with them to create a training of excellence that will produce the best quality of care that is so deeply needed in mental health care. Moreover, I feel proud that PESI helps create affordable and accessible trainings to a wide range of mental health clinicians serving highly diverse populations. My consultation groups will continue to offer the integrative EMDR approach that includes somatic psychology, parts work therapies, and therapeutic yoga for trauma which has been my area of specialty for the past 21 years.

Group Consultation

Group consultation is run in a 2-hour group format on Zoom, where you will meet with me and with other EMDR trained clinicians to discuss cases and general EMDR application questions.

Clinical Supervision

As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Colorado (PSY 3708), I am pleased to offer consultation and supervision in Boulder, Co. I provide group supervision sessions for clinicians working towards Colorado state licensure (LPC or Licensed Psychologist) or for those who are already licensed seeking ongoing clinical support. There is a roadmap to building a successful, thriving private practice. One of the key factors to success as a clinician is the confidence and wisdom we express when we come from a foundation of self-awareness. Working with clients can bring up our own history and feelings. Supervision can provide a powerful forum to develop the insights into personal blindspots that enhance your therapeutic presence.
